Welcome to Landgasthof Schickh in Klein-Wien at the foot of Göttweig. In our family-run business, we combine Austrian inn-style cuisine with personal hospitality. Enjoy familiar classics and seasonal dishes in a cosy atmosphere – in the snug, the conservatory or, in fine weather, beneath the chestnut trees.

Our cuisine

Our cuisine is rooted in the Austrian inn tradition and remains open to the seasons. Grammelknödel with Riesling cabbage, boiled beef with apple horseradish and beef roulades represent the familiar side of our menu. Game dishes and vegetarian creations add their own distinctive touches.

Our kitchen team places great importance on fresh ingredients and careful preparation. We source our meat exclusively from certified Austrian suppliers. This means the quality of our dishes begins with the selection of the products.

A speciality is char from local waters – fried à la meunière or plain, served with parsley potatoes. The current menu shows which dishes you can enjoy with us at the moment.

Conservatory

Plenty of light and views of the greenery make our conservatory a cosy place to spend time together. In the cooler months, you can sit in the heated dining room; in summer, we open it up to the garden.

Summer is especially pleasant beneath the shade-giving chestnut trees. Our garden provides space for a relaxed lunch, a cosy evening or a glass of wine in good company.

Private dining rooms

Three individually designed snug rooms give our family-run establishment its cosy character. Here, you can sit together with friends, family or as a couple. We can also provide a suitable setting for parties and celebrations.

Wine & sweet finish

For us, a good glass of wine is part of an enjoyable meal. Regional white wines, including Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, sit alongside a selection of Austrian and international red wines. We are happy to assist you in choosing a suitable accompaniment to your dish.

To finish, there may be a sweet treat: depending on the menu, perhaps Schickh’s Zwetschkenknödel with poppy-seed butter or ice-cream apricot dumplings.
